Maintaining and Cleaning your Blinds Cambridge

Firstly, a good idea when vacuuming or dusting your blinds is to brush or vacuum across the slats, not up or down, and always remember to use a lamb’s wool duster instead of a plastic one as this will not affect any of the materials – When vacuuming, remember to use the brush attachment!

Other useful tips when tackling dirt such as splashed spots etc. is to spray your all-purpose cleaner onto a cloth before wiping the blinds clean, never spraying the cleaner directly onto the blind itself as this could damage and discolour the wood or fabric. If your blinds become very dirty, either take them to a dry cleaners or use a rubber sponge (known as a dry sponge) – try to avoid wetting your blinds as much as possible.
